I was just searching for a particular quote from the program and found this one instead. Thought you might like it.

" Hey, this is mine. That's mine. All this is mine. I'm claiming all this as mine. Except that bit. I don't want that bit. But all the rest of this is mine. Hey, this has been a really good day. I've eaten five times, I've slept six times, and I've made a lot of things mine. Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can't have sex with something. "

That was actually the very first scene I ever saw of Red Dwarf. The part that killed me was that he was spraying everything with a little mist bottle while saying that. Love that show!

Want some toast?

I love Red Dwarf. I heard there is a movie in the works.

You mean you don't know about Kryten's vacuum cleaner attachment's, Uselessdreamer1?

Now I'm intrigued, please tell us more about this red dwarf.
The last Brit. TV program I remember was "Magic Roundabout" (time for bed said Zebidee!)

Ok, I'll try and explain. There will be lots missing though.

Red Dwarf in a sitcom made by the BBC and shown on BBC2. I started off set on a huge ship in space which mined asteroids. The two main characters (Dave Lister and Arnold Rimmer) worked together but hated each other. The most important part of their job was to make sure the soup machine worked properly. One day Lister brought a cat on board the ship. When the ships captain found out about it he gave Lister two choices. Hand the cat over to be destroyed or go into stasis (frozen time). He chose stasis. Whilst he was in there there was a problem with the nuclear engines caused by Rimmer. As he was explaining to the captain how there was a problem and why he wasn't fixing it the whole crew got wiped out. Except for Lister who was in stasis. The ships computer (Holly) kept him in there until the radiation had died down, 3 million years. During which time the computer had gone senile. He was let out to find lots of white powder all over the ship. After much tasting and asking he found out that it was the crew. Because Lister was alone on the ship he needed someone to keep him company, someone to stop him from going insane. The ship has the capability to power one hologram. The hologram can't touch, taste or feel anything. So who does the senile Holly decide to bring back? Rimmer. After they've been re-introduced we get shown the next character. Cat. Over 3 million years the cat which Lister had brought on board had given birth and they had all interbred and evolved to become a human with a feline personality. Cat spends much of his time eating, sleeping and trying to decide what to wear.
During the first episode of series two we get shown a mechaniod robot called Kryten. The crew of Red Dwarf (now Lister, Rimmer and the Cat) find another space ship which is full of women. They go to help the stricken craft only to find the women are skeletons and are being served by Kryten who can't see that they are dead. Due to popular demand he is brought back for the rest of Red Dwarf, starting with series three. Some changes to the character were made and he was played by a different man. But the demented eagerness to serve humans remained. Now Kryten serves the Red Dwarf crew spending his spare time ironing for fun and learning human emotions.

I think that's all you really need to know. It was/is shown on BBC America. There was an American version of it to. But it had a different cast and script and was widely regarded to be a complete pile of smeg.

I'd also like to state I've never been to a convention and do not plan to. I don't own a Red Dwarf t-shirt either. :D

Thank you Ferny for taking the time to give such a superb explanation but in all honesty it sounds like a bunch of garbage.
I guess I'd have had to be there to appreciate it huh?
Thanks again Ferny.
