Unfortunately it's not cropped. It was taken on my back porch with a 70-200mm and when zoomed out it was only slightly bigger and I didn't really want a picture of my bright green ladder that he was perched on. Some times it's just the luck of the draw.

Definitely like the second one better... the first one is too 'head on' for me and throwing a bit too much shadow on the side of his face... nice captures!

Yeah I like that one too. I actually named it "what'ch u looking at?"

This juvenile red tailed hawk came to our back porch everyday for about a week, then he just flew off and never came back. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. LOL
