Remote control D3400

Hello i am new at this forum and at the hooby and i wonder if there is any way expect from the ml-l3 to have remote control of the camera.

The D3400 is the entry level consumer model.
Apparently Nikon did away with the USB port (replaced with a mini USB) which was used in the past to use a wired remote control.

There are other options though. I tried searching here as someone found a solution a few months ago from some 3rd party but I cannot find it yet. have you tried controlling shutter release through a smart phone or other device ?

Unfortunately the D3xxx series has just the simple shutter release remote as far as I know. The D5xxx series and up has several choices including Nikons own Camera Control Pro 2 software.

As for connectivity with smartphone u said, i only know the snapBridge app which can transfer photos only,and it connects through bluetooth
