Remote Flash Trigger for Canon EOS

You could get another 580 (or 550), which your 580 will trigger. You could get a 430, which your 580 will also trigger. Or of course the ST-E2.

The advantage of this, is that you retain the E-TTL metering. It's not the most reliable wireless system though. I've heard a lot of people say that it works well indoors but is very sketchy outdoors.

Another option is something like Pocket Wizards. They aren't cheap but they are very reliable. You would need two transceivers, one for the camera and one for the remote flash. They do have very cheap (E-bay) radio triggers...some as low as $20. I've heard that some of them do actually work well...but don't be surprised if they aren't that great.

The biggest difference with the radio style triggers (including the PWs) is that you no longer have E-TTL metering and would need to set the flash power manually.
