removing graininess?

is there any way to remove the graininess of high iso films. I'd like to take some low light pictures but don't want the grain.

If you scan the negative or print, you have all sorts of digital manipulation at your disposal.

If you don't go digital, you can limit graininess by making smaller enlargements, slightly de-focussing the image, softening the image during enlargement with a scrim, using a tripod and a low ISO film or going to a larger film format.
