I recently got my hands on a Ricoh 500 G. But the exposure meter needle appears to be broken, it does nothing. Anyone have a clue on how to fix it?

    Thanks

Repairing cameras like this really isn't too practical, I'm afraid. They usually
cost more to repair than to replace them.

I would find another camera and see if if you can get something for your
current camera (as parts) on eBay or whatever. The Ricoh 500 is a somewhat
sought after vintage model so the parts would have some value.

Clean battery contacts with a Q-Tip, moistened with white Vinegar. That treatment brought my Ricoh 500 back to life.
