I also prefer the bw. Wouldn't mind seeing even a little more contrast. Good shots!

Very nice. We ought to start a new theme thread on "Our footpaths" over in the Photo Themes, I think! There we can collect them all in one thread.

I somehow (ME! Imagine!) prefer the black and white to the colour photo.
And the close up of the birch trees resembles mine that I contributed to the Assignment of the Week "Lines" (cf. http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30898).

I prefer the green, colour version! :D

And what a difference in trees! Ours in England are all twisted and random and rarely grow as straight as some of these in the other "Footpaths" !

Thanks for the comments everybody, i also like the B&W more, but I know there are a lot of members that enjoy the color shots too. LaFoto, these are actually Aspen trees that grow in "groves" and supposedly share one root system. It's actually "one" organism hence the title on #2 above. I thought about including it in the "lines" challenge for this week, but these were actually taken last month while on vacation, and I don't want to cheat with old photos, even though I am just now getting to them. ;)
