I like the the idea and the composition. Even the DOF as shallow as it is works for this picture IMO. The hot spot ghosting around the silhouette on the top part is a bit too much. It looks good in the sense that the focal point stands out more but it comes across to me as "edited".

I find it really hard to look at. Did you do the blurring in PP?

No the blurring is just from using an f/2.8 aperture setting close up. I've not actually done too much in the PP, the main effect that camz has picked up on is a little dodging & burning. I guess it could be applied a little more subtly, but I'm happy enough with it. I suppose it depends on whether you wish to treat it as a straight record shot, or do something a little more unorthodox with it - I chose the latter as you can see.
