looks like the pic is either underexposed or the scan didn't quite work out
do you have photoshop by the way? you might be able to adjust the levels to a certain degree to get the trees to stand out

Yeah, I know my scanner is a huge part of the problem. It's an old, cheap one and everything comes out really dark. As far as editing programs, all I have is ImageFolio LE and ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2000... The print itself isn't nearly as dark.

Scanners seem to be a lot better for the money than they were a few years ago. You can probably get something much better for less than you think.
