A picture of a Robin I took, and I think it came out nice except for the fact I had to go into digital zoom with this one....

Sorry about the links, but I think its just so much quicker; quicker to click and load, more organized, and everything, plus it saves me useless time doing a board post..

Anyway, I am new to pictures of birds but I love learning, so GOOD and bad critique is wanted equally :)

Because youve used digital zoom rather than optical youve lost a lot of the quality of the image however from a composition POV I personally feel the bird is too central and too much looking forward, it'd be nice to see him at a slight angle off centre IMO

    Make a decision here.

The quality still isn't the greatest and the color needs to be corrected.

You guys, you guys... I used both Optical AND Digital zoom for this picture..

Im wondering, should I take a picture of a bird thats not a close up (on the camera) but if its big enough (the picture) I can crop the bird and still have it be big if the picture comes out big enough, will this work?

And Im still trying to work on the colors, give me time im still learning :(

Pointing things out is not a bad thing. Everyone has to learn don't take it personal. As for still learning I been banging around this racket for well over thirty years and im still learning.

Ps. I usually dont comment on posters who have the not okay to edit tag. It makes way to hard to make suggestions.

I dont know if its the digital zoom that did it or not, but this pic is way grainy, and the colors are all messed up looking... Might not be the zoom at fault, but the quality is definitely lacking.
