After I have seen Photo 1, I feel I really don't need to see Photo 2 any more, neither of the two crops. Photo 1 just convinces me instantly! The (window?) light, the point of view, the chosen DOF, the colour of the background going with the colour of the flower, the focus ...

So, you like #1? I was not so sure of it, personally, so thanks. I kinda feel the change of focus between the rose and background was a bit harsh.

After a better look at #2 I can see they are a bit out of focus. i do like the texture, though. I'll have to look through my batch and see if I have any that are a better focus.

These were taken in my kitchen, under florescent lighting. The background is my kitchen table.

I took this in Macro mode with a +3 filter.
