I was very bored today so I went out into my backyard and took some shots of our dying apple tree.

The first version works best for me I believe. The deep colours of the blue and red make the shot, as well as the first working better than the third, due to the bareness of the tree it is on, making it feel like it just might fall any moment, and the 1st leaves room for "the fall". Good eye :)

I really like both of these shots... they both work for different reasons. Brit hit the nail on the head when she said the apple looked ready to fall... but on the last picture, I really like the single leaf up at the top. It just ties the composition in really nicely for me. :)
