This is a new shot with the beloved holga. I like it but what do you folks think?
AAAAAHHHH!!!! This is soooo dark now that I'm at work... I just don't understand. I calibrated my monitor at home and the shot looked great there as well...now that I'm at work and look at it , it looks like this....What is going on...HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA!!!!!!!!!
eeerrr...I figured the self inflicted insanity out. it is MY WORK CPU"S MONITOR!! so continue with a good ole bashing!!!
HHHHEEEELLLLLOOOOOOO!!!! *mygrain taps on the inside of your screen* Why am I the only one responding to this pic??? HEEELLLLLLOOOO.... I need help!!! Is the photo too dark to see the balloons? It is stinky?
Ill put you out of your misery. The baloons aret on the darker side
I agree, they are a bit dark, especially if they are supposed to be the main feature of the photo. The silhouetting of the lamp post or whatever kind of post it is draws the eye over to the left and behind the post instead of focusing on the sad balloons. I think it might also have been better if you'd gotten closer and really just showed the balloons.
Thanks guys... sorry. I like the photo a bunch and want to make it work if I can ... how about this?
The second one does work quite nice. Man if the sun was on the other side of the lamp post...........................
BTW, I think with the state of the balloons, the dark shot works for me.
Yeah i initally thought about moving the balloons to the otherside but I had just finished watching "Creative Outdoor Photography" by Lanting & Rowell and really took to heart what they had to say about not messing with the natural placement of shots- how you find things in outdoor photography and why not to move things and disrupt the placement to achieve a truely natural photo. I know I'm a freak but I 'm trying to apply it to urban photography.
Those balloons make me think of the remains of the night after a stag party. So that means, it's a happy photo! They got married the day you took the photo. Talk about capturing the moment!
They are sad because the party is over but I can se you coming in from the other side...I dig it!!! Thanks!
