Safe lights for darkrooms.

    Is it ok to use the clear red light bulbs from Homedpot for the darkroom, or should only use those opaque red bulbs marked for darkrooms.

    You should use a safe light designed for either multi grade paper or fixed graded paper. Red from what I understand will fog your papers these days.

    A good test would be to put some paper out half covered by something black for about 10 minutes n develope it as you normally do n see if it has any fog compared to the covered section.

    If there is no fog.. go for it.
