San Jose Courtyard Shots

Here are a few courtyard shots taken at some State Municipal building in San Jose.

I find images that juxtapose natural and manmade elements very compelling. Number 1 is my favourite, and I especially like the shallow depth of field. I am also drawn to photos where you have a dim interior partially lit with reflected sunlight from outside, and you have a hint of that too. Well done!

The second one is the best because the first one has a background that is too busy, and the third one has numerous highlights and numerous distracting foreground and background elements. Maybe if you could add a vignette to the second one with post-processing, it'd be even better. But I really like how the depth of field sort of pulls you into the shot, nice work. The first and third though, not doin' a lot for me, to each their own, eh?
