Personally I would have put the box off to either the left or right center and taken a lower angle to it so that there was no horizon line at all, just the ocean waves. The horizon would then be where the beach starts and the ocean ends which wouldn't be a straight line and contrast the rigid edges of the crate.

Just my opinion though, afterthought is always better than when taking the photo. I do really like the box though, it would be great for photographing.
