I think it is Anzo Borrego Springs, Ca. (Spelling)
They have a bunch of these sculptures! Someone here posted some with the stars that were really cool!

I think he'd be really cool shot at night with some lights to highlight different parts.

Yes, A friend wants it in silhouette with stars in the sky but iot was too windy yesterday for me to stick around.

I am thinking of trying that now. I have used flash as in this photo of an Indian but I think a flashlight would be best.
By the way the statues are north and south of town off of Christmas Circle.

the first shot may look better in black and white since the sky is just blue. Food for thought.
