    I love these birds, I caught these earlier tonight shooting handheld at 400mm. Light was not the best. I wish they would have been a bit sharper. All three are cropped

    the wings in different positions are very nice. its too bad pics are grainy.

    You know that I envy you these?
    (You remember my "tiny spots that are meant to be cranes"-photos in my 300mm-are-not-enough-thread?)

    But I will ask if not there are guided tours into that swamp occasionally. Sometimes there are some, very, very early in the morning, and those might give me (and many others who will join in, too) the chance to get guided further into areas where the normal everyday visitor may not go? And then... ;) ???
