Very nice!

Love the first one.

i especially like the last one

It would be nice if I could ever get shots like this out here, but the sky seems determined to remain resolutely sand coloured - makes for a rather dull image to be honest.

That's sounds strange- is it because of all the sand's reflection in the sky?

No it's because the stuff is permanently suspended in the atmosphere. I thin it's mainly down to the stuff the sand is made up of. Don't know much about the geology of the place, but oolitic limestone seems to ring a bell from somewhere. Whatever it is, it is remarkably fine at times, some of it being almost like talcum power. Once the wind gets up, it takes a long time to come back down again and so far this year the wind has been on Viagra by the truckload.

Simple desert compositions which would have been very interesting if they were not so flat: I see no shadows, no contrasts, no saturation ... nothing to make them impressive. Well ... first and third are well composed

Thanks. Heheh, yep. The coolest thing (is not the weather out there), is that these dunes are very remote and just about virgin sand.

I would give my left...uh...arm to be able to shoot virgin sand like this some day! Even if I dont get to shoot dunes, I would like to get out to the Nevada desert...maybe on my next visit to Vegas. Would you be willing to hook up and go out shooting if I looked you up? Or are you in CA?
