SB800 on the way.

How many shots can I get out of one.

Just wanted to carry enough batteries to do the job.

Thanks in advance.

alot, don't worry about it.

I think the spec is 150 shots minimum with alkaline batteries. It'll be in the manual when you get it.

I don't know I guess there must be something wrong with my flash because wen I do a wedding with it I carry 3-4 sets of batteries and usually use them all just to keep the recycle times at an acceptable level where people arent waiting for my flash to warm up.

Last night was out 5 year old's school pagent. Large dark auditorium, SB800 on TTL bounced off the ceiling, shooting from the back of the room: result - after 55 shots the recycle time was greater than 10 seconds. Shooting as fast as the flash would recycle also made it noticeably warm to the touch.

I've been using my new sb-800 all week since I got it last saturday. I've taken around 200 pics with it and it recycles in about 3-4 seconds. It's also still on it's first set of 5 batteries. Knock off brand too. I love this flash and highly reccommend it. I got mine off amazon for about $330 which I thought was a fair price.
