Alright, I think I have it this time. At least it looked like it worked in the test forum. And hey, these pictures are actually a coherent set. :)

These are from the Midwest Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa (USA). It's an annual event on Labor Day weekend. Just your average old county fair complete with trolley service around the campground and a narrow gauge railroad. Ok, maybe not so average . . .

It doesn't get any more rural midwest than this. I hope the post worked this time . . . or I'm throwing my computer. :) As this will be the first time I'm showing any pictures of mine online, feedback is certainly appriciated.

Thanks for looking!

Keep the computer!
KEEP THE COMPUTER!
It works, and it works fine. And I like what I see! Thanks for trying and trying again and not giving up, so now at long last you can show us some of your pics. I am happy.

Of this series (pure eye-candy for vintage train lovers, I should say) I like Photos 5 and 8 best. 5 because I am a sucker for anything backlit, and I like the hair of the people being highlighted by the sun (personally I'd have played with the levels of this photo just a bit to bring out a tad more colour and contrasts), and 8 because of the low light situation and the reflection of that trains light on the tracks.

Thank you so much for your support and guidence (and patience) to help me get up and running on the forum. And thank you for the comments too. :) Photos 5 and 8 are my favorites too. As far as level adjustments go, I'm not so hot. :) The most complicated software I regularly use is Picasa!

I really like the b&w shots in this series. There's something quite "olde worlde" about them.

the b&ws are my favs, especially number 6, great contrasts

In that case, here are two more from the same place. :)
