Very nice. I love the lighting!
hey man, great photo, any tips and tricks? i've been trying but its hard as hell to get a decent photo when doing self portraits, specially with the focus.
The key with doing self-portraits is trial/error. The focus is easy, but the zoom is what's tricky. If you use a UV filter, then the best way to nail the focus is to put your eye in the center of the reflection of the filter, then focus. You SHOULD see a red flicker, which signals that your eye is now in focus. Then just recompose your face, then fire. Repeat as necessary for the desired result.
Really nice... as said, great lighting. x

Thank you. :-D
My wife thinks so too....she did marry me, after all. ;-)
Sometimes I wonder if that's why.
Very dramatic, !! I like it...
Is that available light? Great work by the way!!!
Nope, softbox. My wife and I just purchased a Smith Victor 4-light studio setup that I've been using to practice a lot with. This was shot using our large softbox only.
