Nothing like a December self-portrait to inspire a New Year's resolution to lose weight! :)

    Cool!
I now begin to wonder if I have ever seen any photo of yourself before!?!?
It seems like I have not - or have you grown a beard on you?
And hey, it is just the beard and the coat!
    Isn't it?

I really like the stark contrasts and crisp detail here!

    Very nice Matt.

Everything works great for me in this one. Pose, composition, contrast, bg.

I usually grow a beard for the winter.

I ran unsharp mask at 500% and radius 3 to really tweak the local contrast. Up close it's sort of coarse and gritty.

Dang, Matt. You're a father of two, you're not supposed to look like a stud now.

This image is full of masculinity for me: I like this rough-hewn background, your pose, the contrast, and especially the tortured-artist/sexy professor-type expression - it's all working here, baybay. Really good one.

Terri, you made my day, :) but believe me, in real life I look like yer average Joe who's run ragged by two munchkins, approaching 40, and eats too much junk food. My wife says this photo reminds her of a Johnny Cash album cover.
