I recently joined a school alumini forum and was asked about my new picture. Just did a quick snapshot. With my camera in hand, I hope everyone understand one of my new passions since graduation: taking photos!

It looks grainy, though. Do I need to re-shoot?

Grain is good! Many pro photogs ADD grain to photos that have none, just to give it a "film" feel.
I like the photo and the tones. The only nit I have is to watch your backgrounds. That coat hang in the viewer left is a little distracting.

Oh, thanks, I get it. The coat is black, without which I was afraid the picture might not be in balance, then the bright side of the closet looked overwhelming. Anyway, it's a spontaneous shot. Fun to see yourself this way.

i think you've surpassed grain and gone into compression. there's a little too much, other than that its alright.
