Early evening light interplay on the Great Sand Dunes in south central Colorado.
Considering the focal length on this one, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out (a testament to the 12X optical zoom and image stabilization on the FZ5).
For some scale reference, if you look closely you can see someone on the second large ridge of sand up.....and to the far right. Also for reference, the peaks above are 14,000 feet (rising about 7,000 from the valley floor)....Challenger Point and Kit Carson Mountain to the left, and on the far right are the twin summits of Crestone Peak.
