Auto edited and then sharpened it in Photoshop elements 6.
 
thats not that good. Its WAY oversharpened, lacks contrast, color saturation, and focus.

That's being a bit harsh...

Plus, I do not think it lacks contrast or needs saturation. I do, however, agree that it lacks focus. The leaves behind the probable focus point are a bit distracting, and the leaf that is in focus on the bottom right detract even more. Try to isolate your subject and I think you will find that less is more.
 
Thannks to all of you. Sharpened pics are added as another genre under another genre. I remember seeing a sharpened pic of a lady jogger and it's more glaring than this leaf. Anyway, I took fancy on auto editing it first and then sharpening. The surrounding white color of the leaf appeared after I sharpened it. There is another genre under sharpened genre which is noise, again the pic of a lady jogger in the cover of a magazine released last year. Forgot the name. Maybe you have seen them.
