(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is
700,000.

(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per
year are 120,000.

(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Guns:

(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is
80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80 million..)

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year,
all age groups, is 1,500.

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000
times more dangerous than gun owners.

you know what i think is funny about this?? people the world over and even some in america are gonna think, man i dont own a gun...

but in the south of the u s of a, we go nowhere with out a gun in the truck, one in the back behind a seat.. one under the seat, the one strapped to your boot leg...
i mean, sheeze... we probably have 6 or 7 guns in our house right now...

its not uncommon that if you go to aneighbors house at night and knock on the door, they will come to the door with a shot gun, and you say your name first, and say, put that thing away, and the other three that the kids and wife had trained on your drop as soon as your neighbor says, hey honey, is frank, and betsy, or whatever.....

so most of those guns are all at only .5 of the worlds homes....dont you think????

i reckon if you left the word 'accidental' out of the equation the figures would be a bit different.

Over here in the uk i think our Doctors are more dangerous, and that's not accidental (Dr Shipman). And if you go to hospital, you stand more chance of catching something while your in there, than you did before you went in
