    These are both great, but the first is definately my favorite. The trees in the foreground really add to the framing.

    Thanks for the comments. I just traveled from Califonia to Chicago on Amtrak and took a lot of pictures. More later.

    Beautiful images. Do you remember where abouts you shot these?
    I live at the base of the Eastern Sierras in CA.

    These were as we were near Truckee and Lake Donner, if I remember correctly.

    Beautiful scenery - especially in Photo 1. Very nicely captured and framed!

    Very majestic landscape shots. Somewhat different than central Kentucky? But, I hasten to add: Kentucky has its own brand of majesty.:D

    Thanks - yes Central KY is much different. And even more so today. We had 3-5 inches of snow last night!!
