I'm looking for a lens (eventually) for the d80 for car and city photography. I was thinking about getting the Sigma 10-20mm for close city pictures. I've heard good things about it but then I've heard the Tokina is better. What are your thoughts on that lens?

My friend uses that exact lens on a Nikon body for his landscape work. He also uses a couple of filters (ND and Circ Pol) but I know he is v minimal with his post processing.

I'm sure you'll agree, the results speak for themselves:

I love my Sigma 10-20... it is great for landscapes and especially nice indoors. Be aware that its not a very fast lens, but wow, are the results ever beautiful with it.

Wow those are some nice pictures. The thing that attracted me to the lens is the price. I know Nikon lenses are top of the line, but I'm on a students budget. The landscapes look great, hopefully I can take good city shots with it too

this is the sense im saving for, heard nothing but good stuff from it and all the pics i have seen have been amazing

When I get a wide angle it will probably be the 10-20.

I just bought mine on Friday... LOVE IT!!!!
