Hi,

I am quite interesting in buying the Sigma 24-70mm DG EX HSM lens (for Canon). I tested one which belong to a friend and I noticed it blurs a little bit the right side at 70mm.
So wanted to know if it is a particular behavior to the lens I tested or if it is a lens fault?

Since I do panoramic and high-definition images, this detail is important for me.

If someone owns this lens, please give me your opinion of this.

Thanks.

If detail is important for you, buy Canon L lenses. Check out the 24-105 f/4L, it's an amazingly sharp lens.

+1 on what Tim said. The sigma is a good lens but in no way the same quality of the canon/nikon version and if every little detail is crucial to you I wouldn't recommend purchasing the lens. GL

Ok, thank to you both for your advices. I have just checked the Canon 24-105mm f4L and it sounds pretty good indeed.

If you wanted the higher aperature there is also the 24-70 2.8L. I recently picked one up used for about 1K in like new condition... If you get from adorama or B&H can also get extended warranty...
