Sigma 75-300DL Push-Pull Macro

Lady I know through a friend has an old F100 with a fisheye attachment, 35-70 f/3.3-5.6 lens along with a Sigma 75-300 DL Macro

I have searched Google. I have searched TPF. I have searched other photography forums. I can't find anything that really has any good reviews on this lens.

This set up was the ladys ex husband's and she just has it.

I don't know if I should go ahead and get it and don't even know what a price would be for it (if I were to offer) since I can't find ANYTHING online (I'm sure someone will find something though).

I would like for her to make an offer since it might be lower than what I was wanting.

I just bought a $450 Nikon 105 Macro but don't know if I should get this 75-300......just to have

I guess if the price is right...

I usually go to Pixel-Peeper -- Over a million full-size sample photos from lenses, SLR cameras and digicams.

Unfortunately this exact lens is not on there. Optically, what's going to be the difference. Would it be worth it (of course depending on the price she might give me). Those shots on your links look wonderful.

I tried it out on mine, but not for long and didn't really get to mess with it

Well, I have no experience at all with that lens, and the reviews I sent you don't look stellar. Remember, that Image Quality and Build Quality are two distinct things ... it might have decent IQ and be built like crap.
