Sigma APO 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM for Nikon

Not sure where I should put this. I found a Sigma APO 70-200 2.8 for sale for $600.

Anyone have any experience with this lens and what do you think of the price?

I'm going to email the guy to find out if it's the Sigma APO 70-200 2.8 II Ex or not.

I also found a Nikon AF Nikkor ED 80-200mm f/2.8D for $650.

Same questions for this lens.

A new Sigma 70-200/2.8 II goes for about $800 new, so $600 used sounds about right (I'm assuming it's used). If it's the older version, it $650 new, so don't bother with that one if it's used.

But if a Nikon 80-200/2.8 can be had for only $50 more, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Don't waste your time on the Sigma. Work some extra hours or something and get the extra $50 and get the Nikon.

I got mine for $600 from a guy off craiglist. Wonderful lens and super super sharp. Nothing better!
