I just found out sigma makes DSLRs...who knew? Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had one or had experience. Their kit seems like a pretty good deal. 10.2mp camera with an 18-50 and a 55-200 lens for $1300.

It's out of production now, but IMO the concept they used in their foveon sensors is the way of the future. No interpolation needed, unlike the bayer pattern.

I wouldn't buy one, because it's overpriced at this point in time. The lower end XT and D50 will give you the same picture, because there's actually 3 megapixels... not 10...

Read up foveon technology to understand it.
