    Hi folks

I am teaching a photography class to mainly middle aged women with little or no computer skills. As part of my course I want to run a few classes on the basics of photo editing on a PC. I have used photoshop myself in the past but I need a FREE easily downloadable editing program which will introduce my class to the basics. I downloaded GIMP but that is way to complex for what we will be doing. I am looking for something similar to the user friendly iPhoto that comes with macs (but free and for PCs). The functions i need include

    Cropping
    Red eye reduction
    Rotating image
    Basic adjustments (contrast etc.)

Any advice as to the best free software out there?

    Replies are greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Luke

Google Picasa, awesome stuff - cross platform, easy as can be, and free.

Picasa would definitely fit what it seems you're wanting to do. Another option might simply be the Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Assuming everyone has Office already, there's no download necessary and it has all the features you listed, too.
