Here's a photo a recently took. It;s the first time I've shot skateboarding. it was definitely something I plan on doing often!

To be your first skateboarding shot, it's pretty good. The one thing I would have to say is the light isn't on the skater, it's on the the guy with the video camera. So because of that, my eye goes straight to the guy with the video camera...Just try placing the lighting in different areas.
