just some tips for photographing people, dont cut them off at a joint, in the first one you have it cropped so it ends at his wrist, looks strange.

doesn't look super sharp but they look pretty good keep it up

Looks pretty good! I think b&w captured it well!
I hope you don't mind but I just sharpened it a little and did some cropping.

don't stop photographing. if you want to get serious about it learn as much as you can and as widely as you can. learn different ways to do things and don't accept one way of anything, ever. Get reading, take classes and learn your own techniques
