i have a d70 and i need to use a vivitar df400 as a slave. how do i do that exactly?
Buy radio triggers and use the flash in manual mode? What's your budget?
i dont wanna spend a fortune really. so quality for a low rice would be good.
I think this applies to pretty much everything.
If you know how to use a flash in manual mode and the D70's flash can be set to manual @ 1/4 power or so then you can use an optical flash trigger. I say set the camera's flash to manual because the pre-flash will set off the trigger and you won't get any benefit from it. There are opti slaves made to get around this but the price is nearly to some radio triggers which are a much better option.
The Vivitar DF400 has a built-in slave function and you should be able to trigger the DF400 with light from the popup flash on your D70.
Did your DF400 come with a users manual?
i purchased it from ebay so i dont think i have it
