Small beauty

    This small butterfly, the Club/black banded Silverline was taken yesterday on a small off-shore island.

    Camera: Canon 300D with Sigma 18-200mm + 25mm + 12mm Extension tubes.
    Settings: 1/200, f10, ISO 200.
    Flash: Sigma 500ST DG + Stefon omnibounce set at -2/3 FEC

    Wow!! I've never seen anything like that before. Very nice capture of a very unusual butterfly. :thumbup: Love the DOF here and the nice crisp detail.

    Never seen that one before! Your butterfly shots are fantastic....nice bokeh and well-composed. :D

    Digimania is back with another outstanding butterfly photo. Yay! The butterflies that you get to see in your part of the world are quite different from the few that I know and that we have got where I live. You are right, it IS a "small beauty", and you captured it really well once again. All the ornaments at the rear end of the wings, wow.
