Yes, I agree with Spako here: a clever DOF can really lift very common things like an ordinary snail house out of the ordinary, transforming it into something special. I like what you did here (though I doubt that you can rescue him from the birds for all times, if that is what is in this snail's cards ... nature can be quite relentless).
