Snoqualmie Falls

Stopped on the way home from the wedding last weekend and shot this. Didn't have time to hike to the bottom of the trail and get any really good shots. Hopefully later this summer or early next fall.

These falls are about 270 feet tall. This is a scan of a full frame negative, shot with a 50mm @ f8 & around 1/500 sec (really didn't look, I was using AP mode).

Nice work Jim. You are lucky to have such beautiful places near you.
You've captured the water perfectly. I wonder how it would've looked with a slower shutter speed?

I don't know, but I plan to find out. There's a hotel at the top of the falls & we'll go spend a night or two. Then I can play a bit. Didn't have time the other day.

There's a trail you can take to the pool below the falls, so of course I'll have to go get wet trying to get some better shots.
