I was going through some of my photos and found some that I want to print off. I'm just going to take them to the kodak store inside our local Target store. I've never printed off pics yet so am not quite sure if the size of the image is big enough for an 8x10.

I looked at the properties of the image. The image is 3008 pixels x 2000 pixels and is 300 DPI. Now if I've been reading correctly, I could just divide 3008 by 300 and 2000 by 300 and get the dimensions of the picture, correct? This would make the image close to a 10x6

If anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

    Thanks

You're correct; assuming that their printers default is a resolution of 300dpi. What you need to do is crop the images before hand to the size you want, using an image-editing application. This will write the information into the image header and cause it to be printed out at the size you want, at whatever resolution is approriate for that crop.

Thank you for confirming this. I will give it a shot once and see what it does.

Thanks again TiredIron. The picture turned out just fine and is in its frame already.
