Softball in HDR

I went to my sister-in-laws softball game to take some pics. I decided I would try a little HDR on them...:) Here are a few! Let me know what you think! I like the bottom one the best out of these 4.

Obviously taken from one RAW file.

I don't think it works. They just look like someone went overboard with the wrong photoshop filters and put in a mediocre black and white conversion just for kicks, and as a result everything has black halo's around it.
 
Id agree. The halos are very distracting and an eyesore.
 
Again another example of the use of HDR being miss-understood. These shots do not have a High Dynamic Range so I really don't see why you have tried to apply the HDR process to them. If you want to create funky effects just use one of photoshops many filters.
