Some beach pics of the mommy and daddy :) CnC please :)

i agree with derrel...the first one seems a bit flat. bump the contrast, maybe play with the levels. make those tones pop! :D

Hows this...

Open the image in Photoshop or Elements. Go to the FILTER menu, pull down to Sharpen, and then go to the To Unsharp Mask option.

Set the Amount to 30 Percent

Set the Radius to 250 Percent

Set the Threshold to a value of 0 (zero).

Apply that amount of USM.

That will dramatically boost local contrast. Then, got to the EDIT menu, and pull down to Fade Unsharp Mask and Fade the amount until the contrast looks right for each particular image. One can also use smaller amounts, like 1o to 15 percent and a Radius value of 150 to 200 percent. This is a good way to make an image a bit more-snappy if you've made an inkjet print of it and it looks a bit flat, or for on-screen images that need a little more kick! to them.

The contrast is fine in the first one. I do not like the second one though. I'm not digging the pose; if you're going to pose them - do it with more OOMPH. And you've used flash here, which is cool, but the shot is underexposed. . .:( What were your camera settings?
