Thank you for looking,

Yes, Photo 4 has captured a neat expression in the gull's face (if you can say so about sea gulls ;) ??).
How do you all get so close to the birds...!?!??!?
I'll never get it...

Nice series... very sharp. I will go against the grain and say #2 is my favorite. Great work!

great shots bill....were these on your D50?....if so what lens do you use? I'm thinking of investing in a tele lens, haven't decided on one yet tho. well done

nice closeups! what is the purpose of that pierced nose???

Yes they were shot with the D50 with the NIKON AUTO FOCUS -70-300 F4-5.6 G that I got from KEH Camera Brokers, used but other than not coming in a box I say was new. Now I see it even came down in price 10 bucks! :grumpy:

I think it is so they can breath while pecking in the marsh, but I could be wrong. :stun:

Thanks for all the nice comments,

Bill

There are a few around the area, but very very hard to find.:(

I like #3 the best. Love the DOF
Funny thing the next shot the DOF was just the opposite, bird out of focus, boat in focus.
