I love the macro shots but I am not sure I am cropping them right.

The crop should make you happy and be balanced in your opinion. Cause when you ask about crops it's all going to depend on who answers.

Less exposure... a simple one click correction I'm sure there are others who will help you out in other ways.

I like the shots, but the 3rd one is a bit blown and overexposed. Nice captures though.

Cropping is very difficult on any shots where flowers are used for backdrops..
you always have leafs/ stems/ etc. that cause fits.. However if in a shot like this ,( Butterfly) as subject, if butterfly is strong enough , it will pull you out of a so so crop.... but on these , they all show Very harsh lighting and exposure... The butterfly is just not popping...( contrast ) from the backdrop...

I think Mysteryscribes crop/ and saturation shows you how you need to shoot tight, and pop that subject from your background..

Thinking your biggest problem here was with the Harsh Lighting..
