Hi, I'm new here. I know pretty much NOTHING about photography, but I want to learn. These were taken by two different digital cameras...nothing special.

I really wish I could get a good pic of my tarantula, but it just isn't working out. Hehe

Number one is my favourite, from a composition point of view.

Not bad for your first set of photographs - the composition seems to be lacking in all but number 1 but this will improve over time :)

Hope this helps,

David

I keep a good eye on them. Sometimes they try, but they don't get far.

cool stuff. I love reptiles :)
Also got 2 bearded dragons here and a ball python. I always wanted a crested, but i couldnt seem to find them here in Holland. Havent got the room for one now though....ah well, maybe someday.
About the pics, some of them seem a bit out of focus. Maybe you got to close to them and your camera cant focus then anymore. Try to find the closest distance you can get, but dont get too close. Also try to get the subjects out of the middle of the pics (do a search for "rule of thirds" on google or something)
Anyways, they still are nice pics :)

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, my cameras suck...haha. They can't do focus well, but I'm saving for a better camera. May take a bit...I have this addiction with reptiles and keep ending up with more :p. Hehe.

Very neat collection you have there and the pictures are nice. I used to have a Leopard Gecko for about 8 years but he passed away last year. It's pretty amazing that he broke skin with hit bite since leopard geckos don't have teeth. Mine never hurt when he'd get mad and bite. Also love the bearded dragon. Had one of those before too.

Thanks! Leopard geckos actually have teeth. Small, but they are there. He just had REALLY powerful jaws and that wasn't the first time he's made any bleed. I love bearded dragons. Miss Priss was my first ever reptile and is almost 9 years old now.

#3 is my fav. I wish the background was different cuz thats a cool capture. The baby tegu is very cute ;) Makes me miss all our reptiles!

Thanks! Yeah, I wish it was a different background too. Actually, wish it was different on most of my pictures. Hehe.
I love my tegu. He's such a cutie, and soo curious!

Cute critters.

I used to have a room full of herps for a few years, but I couldn't find time to take proper care of them, so I found them all new homes.

They take time, but they are my passion in life. I'll be going to college for herpetology, and couldn't imagine life with at least 1 scaly critter! Hehe
