    Hi Alia!

Welcome to the board! Wow we get heaps of folks from BC, but thats a good thing ;)

You have a very good eye for the abstract and everyday objects, have you done any stock photography or any commericial photography before? Needless to say I am impressed! What a great first post :)

    and keep 'em coming!

    hey vonnagy!

thanks alot for the compliments v, but stock photography isnt my thing believe it or not...I can definitely see why you would say that tho--some of the shots do seem rather stock-ish. This are some of my earlier shots, when I was starting to get acquainted with my new camera.

I do like to shoot pics like this, but I tend to like them somewhat more atmospheric than the ones you see here. I should try to figure out why my scanner won't work and get some newer pics up.

Thanks again for the comps, v!!!

very nice photos, and welcome to the forum.

The other things I dont like in the bunch is Stairs and Type. Stairs is just not bag of tea so to speak. Not a bad photo, just yeah....
For Type I think if the focus was on the letters to the left. Move it off center a bit and it just seems to draw the eyes there. Still a great photo.

Thanks thorny, I'm in the process of figuring out what's wrong with my scanner and once I get it working I'll scan and post some recent pictures of mine...

Nice photos. You really have an eye for it.

On another note, you are the first person I have come across, named Alia, that spells it that way...besides my sister. I'll have to mention that to her.
