Some Pictures of Mine

I've been photographing for quite a while now, but just a little here and there, and as for my knowledge of techniques, etc. well, basically I'm new. As far as skill and everything goes at least. Here are a couple of pictures I've taken. Let me know what you think.

Overall, I'd say it's not too bad for beginner's work. On number 2 you could have brought the subject out a little more with some fill flash, he looks a little dark. All of them look nice and sharp, and I like the contrast on the Black and White ones. IMHO.

On number 2 I was using high shutter speed (so it got pretty dark) but with the flash on, and it just turned out that way. What exactly is fill flash (like I said im new)?
