This photo above did have lights from the town on it in the top right hand corner but my patience did no allow a brilliant job of getting rid of it on photshop so apologies about that.

The second photo is a very nice shot. I agree about the eye following the water back.

Despite its being busy I also like the last photo and all those bikes; it might help to crop it a bit closer though, say maybe right below that lamp post. You'd only lose a few of the foreground bikes and with those gone the rows of bikes in the background could be appreciated more.

Cheers guys, 1 and 2 are my favorites, although i think 1 needs some photoshop work and 2 is nice but is missing something in the top and a little to the left, its a bit white/ Grey.
I am pleased with them both and they were taken with a 4 mega pixel canon and looking at getting a Nikon d40 this week, it looks good and as i'm a student i cant afford anything expensive even if 300 quid is pushing it for me.
any other recommendations for camera would be good.

    what does ftmfw mean?

#2 is very nice. It almost gives the illusion that it's a loooong way down. :) But it would be even better with some Photoshop. I can show you how I would edit it if you want?
