Hi I'm new to this so I will try and be quick.
I have wanted to start taking decent photo's for a long time now and even make it into a bit of a hobby so I have just invested in a Sony Cybershot F828 - Have I chosen the right camera to start out with?? :blushing:

Hey, welcome to the forums. and i think you should have asked this before the purchase ;). but never mind there is no need to worry it is a one of the excellent prosumer camera available today.

If you want to satisfy yourself for the purchase, you can confirm it at DP Review

From what I have heard/read, the high end Sony "SLR-Like" cameras are pretty good if you don't ask too much from them.

I personally would have opted for a true Digital SLR but you can still get great photos on your camera.
